My PhD focused on investigating psychological effects in subjects with spinal cord injury who were engaged in home-based electrically stimulated exercise. In my academic position, I am currently focused on the effects of mindfulness on heart-rate variability and pain response while immersing your hand in ice water. With the pursuit of my ecology education, I hope to further expand my knowledge regarding how our environment may shape our psychological and physiological well-being. Outside of class, I like to volunteer with the local Trout Unlimited, build bamboo fly-rods, bike, and listen to music.
