In my fourth season with the Soil and Water Conservation District, I completed an independent study through SUNY Plattsburgh that focused on bridging the gap between science and community needs. I worked alongside district technicians to support farmers, youth, and the public through environmental education, conservation outreach, and assistance with funding opportunities.

I wish to pursue a career in natural resource conservation that connects me to the general public through a positive and visible impact, likely through more SWCDs or the Natural Resource Conservation Service with the Department of Agriculture.
